Mobile Alerts for Debit Cards

DuTrac Community Credit Union now offers real-time fraud alerts for Mastercard debit cards. With text alert, you can help prevent fraudulent transactions from occurring on your cards.

To enroll in text fraud alerts, please call (800) 475.1331 or stop into any conveniently located DuTrac office.

How it works:

  • If a suspicious transaction(s) is identified on your debit card account, a text message will be sent to your mobile device.
  • You simply reply to confirm whether or not you recognize the transaction(s).
  • If you do not recognize the transaction(s), a block will be placed on your debit card.
  • If you reply that you recognize the transaction(s), your card will remain available for use.

DuTrac offers CardValet®, a mobile debit/credit card management application which helps reduce fraud by allowing cardholders to monitor accounts with their smartphone and control how, when, and where their debit/credit card is used. CardValet was developed in partnership with Fiserv and is available in the Apple® App Store or Google® Play.

Once set up on your smartphone, CardValet can:

  • Allow cardholders to have the ability to “turn off” their card when not in use.
  • Establish transaction spending limits.
  • Decline a transaction when the amount exceeds a predefined threshold.

Iphone Touch ID and Android Fingerprint Support:

  • Touch ID/Fingerprint can be enabled from the CardValet login screen, or in Settings under Menu.
  • To enable Touch ID/Fingerprint from the login screen, the user will enter user name and password and choose Continue from the Confirm Touch ID screen.
  • To enable Touch ID/Fingerprint from Settings, the user will be re-routed to the login screen, where they must complete enablement as discussed above.

Enhanced Location Controls:

  • Allowing multiple My Locations settings when more than one user shares a common card number. Each user will be able to set their own My Location setting in the application.
  • Enabling the ability to set My Locations and My Regions controls and alert preferences when international preferences are set.
  • Permitting users to add up to five selected allowed countries when setting Block International Control preferences at any time.
  • Allowing users to successfully perform in-store transactions in countries added in Block International Control preferences.
